Construction General Labor

The construction general labor position will be expected to perform under general supervision the following:

  1. Cleaning and preparing construction sites for the erection of structures and buildings;
  2. Unloading and loading materials, using a variety of tools and machines, such as levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment;
  3. Setting up and taking down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures;
  4. General demolition of commercial/residential construction sites;
  5. Helping all specialty contractors, such as carpenters, masons, or electricians;
  6. Assisting construction sites in traffic control and vehicle flow.


Successful candidates must have a willingness to learn, be punctual to all job assignments, and have a strong work ethic. Candidate must also be able to pass a background check and drug test. The following also apply to the construction general labor position:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent;
  2. Two (2) valid forms of identification, one being a valid driver’s license;
  3. One (1) year experience working in a warehouse or residential/commercial construction site;
  4. Access to reliable transportation;
  5. Must own work boots;
  6. Available to work flexible hours;
  7. Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance, and the ability to concentrate on their assigned tasks;
  8. Ability to lift and carry 50-75 lbs. without assistance;
  9. Ability to work in various weather conditions and climates;
  10. Ability to perform tasks that require repetitive motion and/or require standing/sitting for long periods of time.
